The rich man died and did not expect it. vs. 22-23 III. The rich man went to hell and could not change it. vs. 23 Revelation 21:8; 2 Corinthians 6:2 - There is no second chance after death. IV. The rich man wanted another chance but could not get it. He wanted mercy. He wanted to be where the believers were. |

I. There is a full membership in God's kingdom. Matthew 7:21 God claims those who are doing His will as His children. There are those who embrace the "Christian" faith. There are those who embrace the church fellowship. It is exciting for a few years; then, they begin to squawk and squeak; they have no Oil because they are not truly saved. II. There is full assurance of God's kingdom. John 7:17; James 1:22; 2:17-26; Romans 12:2 When you get saved, you want to be involved. III. There is full involvement in God's work. You can't claim spiritual kin if you are not doing God's will. Matthew 12:50; 7:21; 1 John 2:17 |
